In November of 2002 Gwen and I began flying hang gliders. Here are some fun flying pictures taken from Elsinore and the Andy Jackson Air Park. The Andy Jackson Air Park is the landing zone (the LZ) for hang gliders and paragliders flying from Marshall Peak and Crestline. The LZ is located just behind Cal State San Bernardino and is a truly wonderful place dedicated to those who enjoy foot launched flying. If you are interested in learning to fly or just experiencing the freedom of soaring once, you can take a tandem hang glider or paraglider introductory flight from High Adventure. Some of my favorite images are the first ones you see here. Then the pics follow a quasi flight path... i.e. setting up, launching, soaring, landing, and hanging out in the LZ. And, then there are some pics of when Gwen and I were learning to fly. I've broken the page up into two pages of thumbnails for easier loading (dog-gone dial-up connections). Just click on the thumbnail to see the larger image. If you want to gawk at some really cool gliders visit www.willswing.com To skip to the other picture page, click here.
